AC Milan now face strong competition to sign 18-year-old whizkid

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Arda Guler is the subject of attention from three La Liga clubs. AC Milan are interested in the 18-year-old whizkid. However, Real Madrid would like to send him on loan to a Spanish club, with UD Las Palmas, RCD Mallorca, and Real Sociedad all interested in signing him.

Arda Guler and his Real Madrid Frustrations

Arda Guler’s time at Real Madrid since his move from Fenerbahce has been marked by frustration. Hailed as one of Turkey’s most promising young talents, the teenager made waves at Fenerbahce. However, his tenure at the Santiago Bernabeu has been plagued by fitness issues ever since his arrival last summer.

Throughout the 2023/24 season, the 18-year-old has been sidelined due to recurring injuries, preventing him from making a significant impact on the pitch. He has yet to earn a starting position for Real Madrid this season, only managing to play 92 minutes across five appearances. Despite his limited game time, Guler remains highly sought after, with several clubs expressing interest in securing his services on loan during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Numerous reports have linked him with renowned clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan. However, Real Madrid’s preference is to loan him to a Spanish club, and there are indications that a move within La Liga could materialize. Clubs like UD Las Palmas, RCD Mallorca, and Real Sociedad have shown interest in acquiring him for the upcoming season.

La Liga Loan on the Cards?

Real Sociedad and Real Madrid have established a fruitful relationship over the years, evident in the transfers of Takefusa Kubo and Martin Odegaard to La Real from Los Blancos. Therefore, it wouldn’t be surprising if Arda Guler secures a season-long loan deal to the Reale Arena in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Las Palmas presents an appealing potential destination for Guler, especially considering their progress in La Liga this season. On the other hand, Mallorca has historical ties with Real Madrid in the transfer market, although they are currently facing challenges in retaining their status in the Spanish top flight.

Each of these clubs offers unique attractions for both Guler and Real Madrid. With Real Madrid keen on loaning out the 18-year-old talent to another La Liga side, the destination Guler chooses this summer will certainly be of interest.
