AC Milan now leading race to sign talented midfielder

With the summer transfer window just four months away, AC Milan is already strategizing for squad reinforcements, and according to a report, they may have already pinpointed one of their top priorities.

Spanish outlet Fichajes has indicated that Sebastian Szymanski has emerged as a prime target for AC Milan in the upcoming summer transfer window, and the potential deal holds significant promise. The Polish midfielder has enjoyed a stellar season, tallying nine goals and eight assists in the Turkish Super Lig.

His standout performances have attracted considerable interest from clubs across Europe. However, AC Milan appears to be leading the race at the moment, primarily due to the specific role they envision for him in their midfield.

Stefano Pioli’s recent switch back to the 4-2-3-1 formation has exposed gaps in the squad’s depth, particularly in midfield, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek being the sole available option. While Loftus-Cheek has shown glimpses of quality in the role, there remains a pressing need for reinforcements.

Szymanski, currently plying his trade at Fenerbahce, is seen as a potential solution for AC Milan as they aim to mount a stronger challenge for the Serie A title in the 2024-25 season.
