The Real Reason Ashworth is quitting for Man United revealed

Dan Ashworth’s dissatisfaction at Newcastle United is driving his impending departure to Manchester United to become their new football director, according to Football Insider sources.

On Wednesday (14 February), Football Insider reported that Ashworth had agreed to terms with United and had notified the Magpies of his decision.

Sources having knowledge of Newcastle’s predicament. According to Football Insider, the transfer guru believes there are “too many voices” involved with recruitment at St James’ Park.

The 52-year-old says Newcastle manager Eddie Howe and other staff have given him more than he expected when he took the position in May 2022.

According to sources, Ashworth feels he has been unable to make the desired transfers.

It is understood that the transfer chief will now need to take a lengthy period of gardening leave before beginning work at Manchester United.

According to a reliable source, Ashworth will be given plenty of latitude in his new post at Manchester United.

According to sources, the 52-year-old believes he has a decent chance of leading the Red Devils forward, and his outcomes are unlikely to be worse than the present recruiting at Old Trafford.

Man United’s Ashworth signing comes as Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s proposal to buy a 25% share in the club is approved, with his INEOS firm likely to take over football operations.

The Red Devils have spent somewhat more than £1 billion on acquisitions since the start of the 2017-18 season, but they have yet to establish a serious title push.

Former chief executive Richard Arnold has already been replaced by Manchester City’s Omar Barrada, who will begin work at Old Trafford in due course.
