Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Minnesota, and Rutgers have joined the Vols as top competitors for the 6-foot-3, 200-pound McClellan. He has gotten scholarship offers from over 20 institutions, including all eight of those in the running for him.

McClellan received a scholarship offer from Tennessee on August 23 and came to Knoxville on October 14 to watch the Vols’ home game versus Texas A&M. He said he plans to return to Tennessee this spring, but he’s not sure when.
