There are growing rumours that Rafael Leao is a concrete summer transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain, and a report has suggested that they have a trump card to play.
According to this morning’s edition of Corriere della Sera (via PianetaMilan), Kylian Mbappé is expected to leave PSG for Real Madrid on a free transfer, and the club is looking for potential left wing replacements.
Leao is among the names at the top of their wish list. He is under contract with Milan until June 30, 2028, with a €175 million release clause and a net salary of €7 million per season, including bonuses.
There is one intriguing feature about the clause: it is only valid from the 5th to the 15th of July each year. Outside of these dates, any interested club must deal with Milan.
PSG director Luis Campos is supposedly ‘passionate with Leao’ because he lured him to Lille from Sporting CP in the summer of 2019.
However, the Parisians are not only interested in Leao; they also like Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, who has many admirers in the Premier League and may end up in England.
