Georgia HC Mike White says what Bulldogs will do next after South Carolina Loss

Athens, GA – The Georgia Bulldogs fell to 14-8 overall and 4-5 (ninth) in the SEC after losing 72-62 at South Carolina, despite leading for more than 23 minutes. The Bulldogs allowed the Gamecocks to score 40 points in the paint. When asked about their defensive effort, Georgia head coach Mike White noted, “We pressed most of the game,” and South Carolina “had their way on the interior.”

Offensively, the Dawgs performed below season averages (77.2 points per game), scoring 62 tonight and only 22 in the second half. When asked about second-half shooting, White replied, “We didn’t shoot it the way we needed to down the stretch.”

White also praised the South Carolina defense, stating “South Carolina is really good” and “tough, physical, [and] sound.” The Dawgs will travel to Mississippi State to play next Wednesday, February 7th, at 9 p.m. EST. The Dawgs need to “reevaluate this weekend and on Monday,” according to White, and they will “focus on everything.”
