AC Milan are expected to let both Marco Pellegrino and Davide Bartesaghi leave the club before the end of the January transfer window so that they can play more regularly, a report claims.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via Pianeta Milan), both Pellegrino and Bartesaghi have seen very little meaningful action this season, and this will only deteriorate when Milan signs a new defender and injured players return to full fitness.
Neither player is expected to be sold on a permanent basis, but loan deals through the end of the season are being worked out for the youngsters.
Pellegrino has recently returned to fitness, and conversations have begun with Hellas Verona and Anderlecht over a prospective loan. Cadiz and Rayo Vallecano, both from La Liga, have expressed interest in the 2002 born player.
Bartesaghi appears to be more likely to join Frosinone than anywhere else, but the Swiss club Lausanne is also interested in the 2005-born defender. They are taking advantage of the Italian loan market, having also recruited Simone Pafundi from Udinese.
Milan appear confident in their ability to recruit a new centre-back in the final days of the transfer season.
