According to L’Équipe, Christopher Wooh (22) has turned down a move to Burnley. The Cameroon international will continue with Stade Rennais until the conclusion of the season.
Wooh returned to Rennes after Cameroon was eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). He returns to increasing competition. Warmed Omari’s performances, combined with the impending signing of Alidu Seidu from Clermont Foot, may make it difficult for Wooh to start, but Seidu may play wing-back under Julien Stephan’s system.
The Cameroonian defender has sparked interest this month, particularly from England. However, Wooh has turned down a move to Burnely, according to L’Équipe. Instead, Vincent Kompany’s side plans to sign Maxime Estève from Montpellier HSC. Wooh, whose contract with Les Rennais was slated to expire in the summer of 2026, is now expected to stay with the club at least until the end of the current season.
