AC Milan push to sign 23-year-old as club make transfer decision

Arsenal appear reluctant to part ways with Polish defender Jakub Kiwior during the current January transfer window, despite renewed interest from AC Milan.

Kiwior joined Arsenal from Spezia just over a year ago; however, the 23-year-old has seen limited playing time at the Emirates Stadium. While he has shown potential as a valuable squad player, he faces stiff competition for a spot in the starting lineup.

Reports from Calciomercato suggest that AC Milan have once again inquired about Kiwior’s availability, following their initial interest earlier this month. However, it appears that Arsenal’s stance remains largely unchanged—they are hesitant to offload him, and instead, they may pursue a loan deal with an obligation for a permanent transfer.

The situation surrounding Kiwior could become increasingly noteworthy as the January window draws to a close. Nonetheless, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him remain at Arsenal given the club’s reluctance to part with him.

Mikel Arteta is likely to hesitate when considering the departure of key squad members like this, especially given Arsenal’s struggles with injuries over the past year. Losing someone who can effectively cover multiple positions would represent a significant risk.

With Arsenal still contending in the title race and preparing for the Champions League knockout stages, maintaining a strong squad depth becomes crucial for navigating the challenges ahead in the coming months.
