Charlton Athletic are interested in signing Watford player Jeremy Ngakia during the current transfer window,
according to the South London Press.
Michael Appleton was fired by the Addicks following a poor run of form in which they had not won since November.
Charlton are determined to strengthen their squad during the current window, and they have identified places to fill.
They aim to upgrade the right-back position and are looking for the best applicant to fill it.
Charlton reportedly wants to sign Watford’s Ngakia.
Ngakia played regularly for the Hornets this season before suffering an injury that sidelined him since early November.
The 23-year-old’s contract with Watford is set to expire at the end of June.
Watford risk losing the player on a free transfer in the summer, and it remains to be seen whether Charlton can persuade the Hornets to let Ngakia depart during this window.
