Chiefs LB blasts Bills Mafia after shocking incident

With a substantial quantity of snow falling on Highmark Stadium in recent weeks, Buffalo Bills supporters have used snowballs to rejoice and express their anger with their two playoff games.

Following their heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC divisional round on Sunday night, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes was seen evading snowballs thrown by Bills Mafia members.

Drue Tranquill, another Kansas City player, appears to have been the target of the home team fans’ displeasure.

The 28-year-old said on social media late Sunday night that he nearly threw a snowball back into the crowd and used his four-year-old child to demonstrate how ineffective the supporters’ efforts were.

Tranquill is in his sixth NFL season, the first with the Chiefs. He was with the Los Angeles Chargers from 2019 to 2022, concluding last season with career highs (and club bests) in combined tackles (146) and solo tackles (95), as well as career highs in tackles for loss (10), quarterback hits (eight), sacks (5.0), and passes defended.

Tranquill also had his first career interception and forced fumble during the 2022 regular season, and he added five tackles, one pass defense, and one interception in the Chargers’ only playoff game. He later joined with Kansas City in March 2023.

The Notre Dame product’s playing time decreased this season, but he still appeared in 16 games (eight starts) and tied for second on the team with two forced fumbles, as well as third in total tackles (78) and tackles for loss (7). Tranquill had a strong effort in the team’s victory over Buffalo, finishing with four solo tackles and one tackle for loss.
