Journalist casts doubt on the Lakers trading for All-Star: ‘There’s a zero percent chance’

Zach LaVine’s prospective trade with the Los Angeles Lakers appears to be dead. According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, the Lakers are searching for ways to enhance their squad.

However, this does not guarantee LaVine will stay with the Chicago Bulls after the deadline. The squad is adamant on shaking up its roster. For much of the NBA season, the Lakers and Bulls have been discussing a possible trade.

“I think there’s a zero percent chance of the Lakers trading for Zach LaVine.”

Zach LaVine Reportedly Expected To Re-Sign With Chicago Bulls

The Lakers find themselves at a crossroads. They are 11th in a tough Western Conference, with a 19-21 record. Although LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been outstanding this season, the surrounding cast has been erratic.

The team will undoubtedly be active around the trade deadline. As it stands, the Lakers will attempt to sign another star to join Davis and James.

“If they could trade Zach LaVine in the next five minutes, they would trade him and Zach would happily go to the airport.”

LaVine, on the other hand, appears to be a player the Bulls are actively seeking to get off of their roster. In 23 games this season, LaVine has averaging 20.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists.

The Bulls have had a bit of a comeback this year after a slow start. However, success has mostly been due to Coby White, who is now playing the best basketball of his NBA career. While nothing is guaranteed, both the Lakers and the Bulls intend to shake things up.
