Kyle Edwards has praised Ipswich Town for their ‘continued support’ after his departure from the club.
The winger, who signed from West Brom in 2021, made 63 appearances for the team and helped them gain promotion from League One.
However, with Nathan Broadhead and Marcus Harness ahead of him in the pecking order, possibilities were clearly restricted. He was loaned out to Oxford United, but his stay was cut short to allow him to heal from a hamstring injury.
Manager Des Buckingham said that he will remain at the club during his rehabilitation, while Ipswich confirmed that an arrangement had been struck to terminate his contract.
Edwards has since used X (also known as Twitter) to thank everyone affiliated with Town as he prepares to take the next step in his career.
“My time at Ipswich has come to an end and just wanted to thank everyone involved with the club for making Ipswich a home,” he added.
“Thank you to the staff, players, and fans for your ongoing support over the last five years.
“Wish Ipswich all the best in the future.”
