According to various reports, a Buffalo Bills fan was fatally shot after an altercation near Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday night following the Bills-Dolphins game.
The fan, identified as 30-year-old Dylan Isaacs of Canada, was strolling through postgame traffic with pals when he was hit by a car, according to his aunt.
When Isaacs and his friends pursued the car, someone got out of it and shot Isaacs on Northwest 27th Avenue, according to several reports, and he died at the scene.
“To our understanding, they were walking to their vehicle and a car had pulled out and hit Dylan,” Isaacs’ aunt, Cecelia Skye, told NBC Miami. “I don’t know if it knocked him over or how hard it did hit him, but him and his friend started chasing the car as it sped away.”
The suspect fled the scene, but the shooter’s vehicle was discovered in West Palm Beach, Miami Gardens police informed several publications.
“It was a senseless act,” Skye told NBC Miami. “They didn’t want [the driver] to hurt anyone else. It was only a game. It’s a sport that should be competitive, but there’s no place for violence.”
Ashley Cooke, a family friend, set up a GoFundMe page to seek funds to transport Isaacs’ remains back to Six Nations, Canada, and complete funeral arrangements.
Tyreek Hill, a Dolphins star, reacted to the news on X Tuesday.
“Football suppose to bring us together not divide us remember that part,” he stated in an email.
