Burnley recall defender and forward from loan spells

Burnley have recalled Owen Dodgson and Dara Costelloe from their respective loan spells.

Dodgson was with Barnsley in League One, while Costelloe was with St Johnstone in the Scottish Premier League.

Both were scheduled to spend the season with their respective clubs, but the Clarets have decided to recall them.
Costelloe has instantly joined Dundee, who, strangely, face St Johnstone tomorrow.

“I am delighted to be joining Dundee Football Club,” said Costelloe.

“Dundee is a good progressive club that is doing well.”

“I am thrilled to be a part of this team and can’t wait to get started.” I’m looking forward to the rest of the season and hope to contribute here at Dundee.”

The wide man made 12 appearances for St Johnstone, scoring once.

“I’d like to thank my teammates and the coaching staff for making me feel welcome right from the start,” Dodgson said, according to Barnsley’s official website.

“I’d also like to thank the Barnsley fans for their support, which means a lot to me as a young player playing for a club like this.”

“I’m confident the team will continue to do well and I’ll be keeping an eye on how things are going.”

Charlie Adam was previously Burnley’s loans manager, however he left the club last week to take over as manager of Fleetwood Town.
