Transfer Latest: AC Milan will offer contract to 27-year-old

According to a source, AC Milan are trying to extend the contracts of players they see as vital to their future, including Jan-Carlo Simic.

This morning’s La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) dedicated a segment to Davide Calabria’s future, indicating that the club’s management had held conversations with his agents about extending his contract beyond the current 2025 expiry.

There is a section at the bottom of that article about Simic, who is another player whose contract expires at the end of the 2024-25 season. The defender joined Milan from Stuttgart in 2022 on a three-year contract that the club hopes to extend.

The conversation with him and his entourage has not yet progressed, although various European teams have expressed interest in the last few weeks. Logically, his Serie A debut with a goal against Monza (at the age of 18) did not go unnoticed.

There are no clear concerns on the horizon at the moment – Milan are determined not to lose him – but a shift in gear is anticipated in the first half of 2024 to keep the situation under control.
