Newcastle United target Serhou Guirassy is in favour of a move to join AC Milan but has yet to agree a salary with the Italian giants.
The 27-year-old Stuttgart striker has been in outstanding form this season, generating interest from clubs all across Europe.
Newcastle are one of the clubs interested in signing Guirassy during the winter transfer window, as Eddie Howe wants to bolster the Magpies’ attacking options.
Guirassy’s contract has a €17.5 million release clause, and AC Milan is also in talks with the forward’s entourage about a possible transfer.
According to the Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, while the striker is open to a move to Stuttgart, there is a problem with his wage demands.
AC Milan have yet to reach an agreement on Guirassy’s salary, and there is still work to be done.
Despite interest from a number of teams in the striker, the Rossoneri are determined to win the race for Guirassy’s signing.
Guirassy has scored 17 goals in his last 14 league outings, and it remains to be seen whether Newcastle can persuade him to join them in the winter.
