Darragh MacAnthony, chairman of Peterborough United, has reassured supporters that new contracts for junior talent at the club are on his ‘to-do-list’ for the New Year.
The League One team has a number of young stars whose futures are uncertain, but according to the Peterborough Telegraph, MacAnthony is aiming to resolve that before players draw transfer interest.
He went on to say: “Everyone can chill because doing new contracts for many of our young talents is on my to-do list.”
Derby could poach Charlton for in-form winger
Derby County might sign winger Corey Blackett-Taylor from League One rivals Charlton Athletic in January.
According to Darren Witcoop of the Sunday Mirror, the Rams have a ‘long-standing’ interest in the star, who has seven goals and seven assists in League One this season. The player’s contract at The Valley is also slated to end this summer, and a number of Championship clubs are thought to be interested in Blackett-Taylor.
The 26-year-old has been a staple in Michael Appleton’s side this season, but a transfer to promotion-chasing Derby County might tempt the attacker and present the club with an opportunity to cash in before losing him as a free agent next year.
