Isaac Hayden reportedly has a clause in his contract that will allow him to return to his parent club to train in January.
The Newcastle midfielder is presently on loan at Standard Liege in Belgium, where he has failed to get the minutes he desired.
The 28-year-old was initially in favor of the move in order to get more playing time, which was not assured in Eddie Howe’s squad.
But he is apparently dissatisfied, and he is still staying in a hotel, according to Sacha Tavolieri of Sport Witness.
According to the source, he has a’strong probability’ of returning in January since he has a clause in his contract that allows him to ‘go back and train with Newcastle’.
Minutes will be restricted at the club with Howe’s side out of Europe and now out of the Carabao Cup following their defeat to Chelsea on Tuesday night.
Hayden’s contract at Newcastle runs until 2026, but he has struggled to get into the squad; he also spent last season on loan at Norwich City.
