According to Sky Sport Italia, Milan midfielder Tommaso Pobega will consult a specialist on Thursday and will most likely have surgery after injuring himself against Monza on Sunday.
The Italian midfielder suffered rectus femoris muscle tendons injury in his left leg during Milan’s 3-0 win over Monza last weekend and will likely have surgery in the following days.
Sky Sport Italia reports that the former Torino player would see a specialist on Thursday. Correspondent Peppe Di Stefano believes it will be a ‘essential’ visit to establish the severity of the injuries, but it is expected that the 24-year-old will be operated on.
According to Calciomercato.com, the decision has already been taken, and Pobega will be out of commission for more than a month.
According to both media outlets, Milan are unlikely to buy a new center midfielder following Pobega’s operation, thus a centre-back will be their top priority next month.
