According to Football Insider, Charlton Athletic have been linked with a transfer for Newport County midfielder Shane McLoughlin.
Charlton Athletic are apparently interested in bringing the League Two player to The Valley during the January transfer window.
Next month, the Addicks will have the opportunity to bolster their squad ahead of the second half of the League One season.

Eli King
Over the summer, Cardiff City gave him permission to join Morecambe, and he has since excelled with the North West club. According to The Sunday Mirror’s Darren Witcoop on X, he is currently garnering interest from other clubs.
Wales youth international, 20, has a deal with the Bluebirds until 2026. He has made 20 appearances with the Shrimps in all competitions, contributing two goals and three assists.
Liam Walsh
He isn’t assured a starting berth for Swansea City in the Championship, but Charlton would be wise to sign him. The 26-year-old, who progressed through the ranks at Everton, would benefit from playing every week for a team now rather than having to wait for opportunities in the future.
The Swans have had him since 2021 and he was loaned out to Hull City last year. From 2018 to 2021, he was a Bristol City player, appearing 22 times for the Robins.
Liam Walsh
The former Chelsea and Liverpool youth player isn’t getting much game time at Blackpool and would be a wise addition for Michael Appleton if he could entice him away from his former club. He was on Wrexham’s radar early this year, according to Patreon reporter Alan Nixon.
Virtue ended up staying at Bloomfield Road, but his future is uncertain at the moment.
