Sunderland are expected to make a January approach for this 21-year-old, regardless of who takes over as manager.

Jimmy Thelin is the latest name to be linked with the Stadium of Light job, with sources claiming that the 45-year-old Elfsborg manager has met with the club.
Mike Dodds is scheduled to take command of his third and final game as interim manager this weekend, when the club travels to Bristol City.
Following that game, a new head coach is expected to be named, and the new boss may only have three games in charge before the January transfer market starts.
And his first signing could yet be a familiar face in Amad Diallo, who former boss Tony Mowbray described as a ‘magician’ last season.
Sunderland back in the race to sign Manchester United’s Amad Diallo
Diallo’s name is carved in Sunderland folklore after a remarkable loan season in 2022/23.
He scored 14 goals in the Championship and helped the Black Cats finish in sixth place, before returning to parent club Manchester United.
His summer was questionable, but an injury forced him to stay at Old Trafford, where he has yet to play this season.
But the Ivorian is likely to return shortly, and TEAMtalk reported that he will be loaned out next month, with Sunderland among the Championship clubs interested.
The same report adds that Diallo is ‘likely to be a top target’ for Sunderland with the club set to turn their attentions to January signings as soon as they appoint a new boss.
Will this move finally happen?
Diallo’s return to Sunderland has been discussed so frequently that it nearly feels inevitable.
Sunderland will know exactly what they’re getting in Diallo, however whether Mowbray’s departure has any bearing on this remains to be seen.
Diallo was a fan of Mowbray and vice versa, but with a similar set of players and backroom staff, Diallo could still choose a return to Wearside.
It would also be a good signing.
Sunderland are back on track, but they still have few genuine goal-scoring alternatives, with the exception of Jack Clarke and possibly Patrick Roberts, neither of whom has been very successful recently.
Diallo’s return would provide some more competition and depth in the attacking third, however it appears that a new no.9 is still required when Sunderland visit in the next month.
If the club can find a new manager quickly and maintain their current form into January, Diallo might be on his way to the club on loan.
