Everton travel to Burnley on Saturday (17.30 GMT) in search of a fourth consecutive victory.
The Toffees were docked ten points by the Premier League last season, dropping them into the relegation zone. Everton had battled the drop in the previous two seasons, and there were fears that their points would be docked.
However, Sean Dyche’s team has come back beautifully. Everton sit four points above the relegation zone after three wins over Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, and Chelsea, and would be tenth if not for the deduction.
The Blues are gaining momentum, and there is a strong sense of team spirit in the camp.
Dyche now returns to Turf Moor, where he spent ten years as manager, albeit the Everton manager will have few fond memories. Burnley are currently in the relegation zone, with fears that they may be relegated quickly after winning only two games this season against fellow strugglers Sheffield United and Luton Town.
Here’s an early look at the team news for both teams ahead of the match.

6. Jarrad Branthwaite – out
Arguably Everton’s best player this season, the defender was given a fifth yellow card against Chelsea and has to serve a one-game ban.
7. Idrissa Gana Gueye – out
The Senegal international also picked up a fifth caution against Chelsea and must sit out the game.
8. Dele – out
The midfielder’s fitness is improving but Dele may still not be available for a couple of weeks. Under-21 games will be required given he’s not played for more than eight months.
9. Seamus Coleman – doubt
The Everton captain made his first outing in seven months in last week’s 3-0 win over Newcastle. Coleman came off in the second half and missed the Chelsea game, although Dyche wasn’t majorly concerned.
10. Ashley Young – doubt
The 38-year-old was forced off in the first half against Chelsea clutching his hamstring.
11. Andre Gomes – doubt
The midfielder hasn’t played this season. He did feature for Everton under-21s last week and much will depend if he’s ready for first-team action.
