Injury update: Bulls’ star will be out for the next 3-to-4 weeks

The Chicago Bulls will aim to extend their winning streak to five games on Monday when they face the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum.

Unfortunately for the Bulls, Zach LaVine will be unable to play due to a nagging foot issue.

Zach LaVine Gets Unfortunate News Ahead of Milwaukee Bucks Game

LaVine has been out of the lineup for Chicago’s previous four games, which has coincided with the team’s four-game winning streak. The Bulls had previously lost five consecutive games.

According to LaVine, he planned to return to action against the Charlotte Hornets last Wednesday (h/t K.C. Johnson of NBS Chicago). He apparently received a PRP injection in his right foot to aid in his rehabilitation. However, things did not go as planned, as the inflammation on the right side of his foot worsened.

“You know me, I try to play through anything,” LaVine said.

He ended up missing the Hornets game, as well as Chicago’s win over the San Antonio Spurs on Friday.

On the LaVine front, Chicago’s situation has deteriorated. A recent re-evaluation of the two-time All-Star’s injury has resulted in a diagnostic that predicts he will be out for the next 3-to-4 weeks as he recovers from this foot injury, according to RotoWire.

This means that not only will he miss Monday’s game against the Bucks, but Chicago will also have to deal with the next few weeks without one of their most vital players. Fortunately for them, they’ve done well thus far without LaVine.
