According to Football Insider, Hull City, Plymouth Argyle, and Huddersfield Town are interested in Charlton Athletic winger Corey Blackett-Taylor.
Hull City will be aiming to make some new signings in the winter transfer window to improve their prospects of making the play-offs. Meanwhile, Plymouth Argyle and Huddersfield Town will be looking for players who can assist them keep their second-tier status.
The Championship three are said to have identified a similar target in Charlton Athletic’s Blackett-Taylor.
According to Football Insider, Hull City, Plymouth Argyle, and Huddersfield Town are all interested in signing the 26-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
The contract issue comes after a terrific season for Blackett-Taylor, who has seven goals and seven assists in 22 games for the Addicks across all competitions.
He can play on the left or right wing, although he has excelled on the left for the League One club this season.
A step up awaits?
Charlton Athletic will be hoping to keep Blackett-Taylor’s services in January and beyond because he plays an important role for them. However, with good form and an uncertain contract status, a promotion may not be far away.
He made one Championship appearance for Aston Villa while on their books, but has spent the great most of his career in the third tier.
Hull City may be an appealing alternative for the winger. The Tigers are an ambitious team with a highly regarded manager in Liam Rosenior, but only time will tell if their interest becomes genuine.
While not as far up the table, Plymouth Argyle and Huddersfield Town might also be interesting destinations, with Blackett-Taylor sure to evaluate his choices if interest becomes concrete.
