Everton 3-0 Newcastle United: Magpies co-owner Jamie Reuben has reacted to the result at Goodison Park.
Newcastle United co-owner Jamie Reuben remarked on a ‘difficult’ 3-0 loss to Everton on Thursday night.
Despite a significant injury issue, the Magpies have only lost one of their previous ten Premier League matches. However, a late collapse at Goodison Park allowed Everton to win comfortably with goals from Dwight McNeil, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and Beto.
Eddie Howe’s squad has one win in seven Premier League away games and will aim to bounce back at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday (4:30pm kick-off). With 12 players ruled out for the encounter at Goodison Park, Reuben highlighted the Magpies’ injury problems following the defeat.
“Tough match tonight especially after so many games/injuries – we will bounce back,” he wrote in a tweet. “Thank you to our supporters for making the journey and for your support @NUFC.”
Newcastle now sits eighth in the Premier League table after 15 games. A win on Sunday would move Eddie Howe’s team above Tottenham in the table, as they seek only their second away win of the season.
With the likes of Sean Longstaff, Joe Willock, and Sven Botman near to returns, United will be hoping to welcome some players back from injury sooner rather than later.
