Giannis Antetokounmpo Gets Brutally Honest on Milwaukee Bucks’ Crucial Error Vs. Bulls

With 5.2 seconds remaining in regulation, the Milwaukee Bucks led by three points. They could have fouled the Chicago Bulls and forced them to take two free throws, putting Milwaukee up.

Instead, the Bucks let Alex Caruso shoot a disputed three-pointer that hit the backboard. The Bulls forced overtime, where they outscored the Bucks by seven points to win 120-113.

Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo Speaks Out on Regulation Error

Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks’ superstar, was asked to remark on Milwaukee’s critical blunder at the end of regulation. Instead of pointing fingers, the former back-to-back MVP emphasized that his team should not have been in that predicament in the first place:

“You don’t really know what’s the best thing to do, but at the end of the day we got to that position and we didn’t have to be in that position, in my opinion,” Giannis said, via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

This game should have been comfortably won by the Bucks. Both DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine were sidelined for this game due to injury. Milwaukee got off to a fast start, but the Bulls swiftly erased their lead.

Antetokounmpo is dissatisfied with his team’s performance on Thursday night:

“If you look at the whole game – we did not deserve to win this game,” he said. “Like, we didn’t play well. We did not respect the game. There was times that we played hard and we were able to get back in the game but at the end of the day we did not have to be in that situation, in my opinion.”

I see no lies here.
