‘I give up’: £45k-a-week Wolves player sends scathing message on social media after more VAR controversy

Wolves were defeated 3-2 by Fulham yesterday night, and Mario Lemina gave a stinging message to Gary O’Neil’s team after the game.

Wanderers walked away from Craven Cottage with no points after being level twice.

Wolves displayed good spirit, but it was the same old scenario with VAR failing to make the right choices.

Fulham were given a penalty that should never have been given, followed by another at the conclusion of the game that was incredibly severe.

Tim Ream and Carlos Vinicius, both for the hosts, should have been sent off.

Everyone associated with Wolves is now fully and utterly disgusted up with VAR and the PGMOL, with the club consistently losing critical points.

After the game, midfielder Mario Lemina summarized the situation with a powerful remark on his Instagram account…

Mario Lemina rages after more VAR controversy stings Wolves

Fans are consistently enraged by VAR, and the players feel the same way.

They are putting in long hours at work to prepare for these games, just to have to do it all over again.

It must be extremely annoying, and £45,000-a-week star Lemina sent an angry message after the game yesterday night. “I’ve always tried to understand that being a referee is not easy at all,” he remarked. I’ve always attempted to tell the guys that we could do better during the game if we wanted to win. But now I’m giving up. Enough already. Some tough decisions must be made. Football is being ruined by these things.”

Gary O’Neill gave a balanced interview to Sky Sports after the game last night, despite the fact that four decisions went against his team.

He was clearly upset, but he spoke calmly and honestly about the incident, which has earned him even more supporters. But he won’t care because all he and everyone associated with Wolves want is a little competence and fairness.

Wolves’ incredible relationship with VAR run continues

Wolves fans are sick and tired of VAR and the incompetence of the authorities in charge.

It appears that no matter who operates it, the end outcome is always the same.

Wolves have 15 points from 13 Premier League games, but that total should easily be in the teens, and the club should be aiming for a place in Europe.

The club’s season has been completely wrecked, and Lemina is correct: tough decisions must be made.

After speaking with PGMOL chief Howard Webb, Gary O’Neil recently stated that he was ‘sure’ that VAR and officiating standards would improve.

He will no doubt be feeling extremely let down and perhaps even foolish he said that now, given this latest episode.
