Bruno Guimaraes praised Lewis Miley in a great interview after the 17-year-old became Newcastle’s youngest Premier League assist provider.
Speaking to The Chronicle, Bruno said: “Lewis is a star. He is massive. When I was 17, and sorry to use the word, but I was s***! Lewis is really great and a fantastic talent.”
Miley looked like he’d been playing at the middle of Newcastle’s midfield for years against Chelsea, and he capped off a fantastic performance by sliding a clever ball into Alexander Isak.
After the game, Bruno couldn’t stop praising him, saying the Toon adolescent is a ‘great talent’ and considerably better than he was at that age.
With Joe Willock suffering another injury and Sean Longstaff doubtful for Tuesday’s game against PSG, it appears Miley will play a significant role in our forthcoming matchups as we enter the busiest phase of the season.
Hopefully this is only the beginning of a brilliant career at St James’ Park for the young man and we see more performances in the next few weeks like the one he put in against Chelsea.
