Wolves set Pedro Neto price tag as Arsenal eye Bukayo Saka competitor

Wolverhampton Wanderers are hesitant to transfer their star Pedro Neto, who leads the Premier League in assists, despite Arsenal’s interest.
According to rumors, Wolverhampton Wanderers would seek £60 million for Arsenal target Pedro Neto. It is no secret that the Gunners are interested in Neto, who leads the Premier League in assists this season. The winger had been linked with a summer move, but reports surfaced again after the market closed.

Mikel Arteta’s comments earlier this year about having “two quality players per position” generated a stir, particularly among goalkeepers. Bringing in David Raya to replace Aaron Ramsdale has sparked debate among fans, who believe the latter was unfairly discarded after his heroics last season.

Considering Arteta’s stance, recruiting someone to compete with Bukayo Saka appears to be an obvious path. On the right wing, Reiss Nelson is the only option, with Gabriel Jesus filling in on occasion.

Signing Neto would provide Arsenal with a more balanced frontline and more possibilities for competing both at home and in Europe. A hamstring injury has hampered the Portuguese star’s season in recent weeks, but Wolves manager Gary O’Neil said on Thursday that he should be back soon.

If Arsenal wants to keep the player, they will have to pay a high amount. The 23-year-old, who joined Wolves from Braga four years ago, is under contract until 2027 and is crucial to the club’s prospects.

According to TEAMtalk, Wolves want roughly £60 million for Neto, despite his well-documented injury concerns. That would put him in fourth place on Arsenal’s all-time signings list, behind Kai Havertz (£65 million), Nicolas Pepe (£72 million), and former West Ham United player Declan Rice (£105 million).
