Newcastle handed surprise boost ahead of Chelsea with injured now duo spotted in training

Newcastle have the longest injury list in the Premier League at the moment but they could be handed a timely boost ahead of Chelsea.

Newcastle United are growing increasingly confident that Alexander Isak and Miguel Almiron will be fit for Saturday’s game against Chelsea.

Newcastle United have returned to training after suffering back-to-back 2-0 defeats prior to the international break.

They initially lost in the Champions League to Dortmund before another painful defeat to Bournemouth, which saw defender Kieran Trippier attack fans after the final whistle.

Manager Eddie Howe has the Premier League’s longest injury list, with up to ten players now missing due to injury or suspension.

They upset previously unbeaten Tottenham 4-1 and fought back three times to grab a point against treble champions Manchester City.

Newcastle United have won their last four Premier League home games, keeping a clean sheet in each, while the Blues have lost 13 Premier League away matches against the Magpies, with only Arsenal and Liverpool losing more (15 each).
