Burnley and Crystal Palace now battling for 18-goal striker – Clarets want him in January, Eagles waiting for ‘right time’

Faris Moumbagna has drawn interest from a number of European clubs after scoring 18 goals in 33 games for Bod/Glimt in Norway this season.

According to Africa Foot, Lille, Burnley, and Crystal Palace are all interested in signing him in January, with Lyon also in the running.

The last two are both owned in some way by John Textor, which could explain why we see the two names.

Burnley have stated that they want to buy Moumbagna ‘as early as’ the winter transfer window in order to prevent relegation back to the Championship.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, has supposedly been wanting the Cameroonian for ‘a long’ and is only waiting for the ‘perfect time’ to make an offer.

There is no indication of the striker’s fee, but with the season coming to a conclusion, it may be the opportune time for the Norwegian club to cash in on him.

We now have to wait and watch if Burnley or Crystal Palace are the first to make a move for the 23-year-old.
