Milan have scouted ‘excellent’ striker ahead of January but could face fierce competition from Premier League clubs

Serhou Guirassy’s remarkable scoring record has aroused the curiosity of several clubs throughout Europe, including AC Milan, with Geoffrey Moncada apparently going on a scouting mission.

Milan have a budget of roughly €20 million for the striker position in January after failing to recruit Mehdi Taremi from Porto at the conclusion of the summer window, and they want to sign Guirassy.

He has 16 goals in 10 games this season and an average of one goal per 47 minutes or 45 minutes if only the Bundesliga is considered, and his release clause exactly meets the Rossoneri’s available finances.

Moncada traveled to Stuttgart in recent weeks to observe Guirassy and came away impressed.

The player’s wage is completely within Milan’s parameters, as he earns roughly €1 million net every season and it would be no problem to (at least) quadruple it.

What remains unclear is the player’s desire, which was, at least until recently, to continue in the Bundesliga until the end of the season. Milan, on the other hand, have an almost irresistible allure, particularly for a 26-year-old player who grew up admiring the team of Pirlo, Kakà, Shevchenko, and Inzaghi.

The difficulty will be determining who else will move for the player, as competition will be fierce, particularly from Premier League clubs willing to pay a lucrative contract to the centre-forward.
