Luka Romero, and Yacine Adli, three Milan youngsters, have yet to make an appearance. The front office is thinking of lending them out in January. Last season, Stefano Pioli did the same thing. Because the summer purchases had not been appropriately valued, his request for winter reinforcements was denied. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Malick Thiaw became a regular only in late November.
Although the former Lazio youngster has always been available, the manager has picked more experienced players. The center-back has made one appearance and is now recovering from a fractured heelbone.
Unlike Romero and Pellegrino, Adli was given a few chances and performed admirably, but the Milan coach returned to Rade Krunic once he recovered from a thigh injury. He has only played 58 minutes in the last five games, missing three of them due to a PK he caused against Udinese.
The Frenchman doesn’t appear troubled by his limited role and has already turned down the opportunity to go. However, with the return of Ismael Bennacer in the near future, his potential playing time will be reduced even further.
Our Take on Milan, Romero, Pellegrino, and Adli
The winger would most likely profit from a brief trip away. They’re already hunting for a defender, so sending one of their own is unlikely. Instead, they should use the midfielder more often because he performed well as a regista.
