Gordon has been one of Newcastle United’s best players this season in the Premier League.
Gordon has scored four goals and registered four assists in the Premier League so far this season, after scoring just once in his first half-season at the club following his £45 million move from Everton in January.
This season, the 22-year-old has swiftly become a fan favorite on Tyneside, with Newcastle’s social media account recognizing his efforts with a social media post.

The club tweeted a photo of Gordon celebrating his game-winning goal against Arsenal, captioning it, “Serious talent in this photo!”
“A man in red hot form,” the club inquired. “How pleased have you been with AG10’s campaign launch?”
Instead of responding to the query, a lot of Newcastle fans noted the tweet’s intriguing timing, which came shortly after Everton received a record 10-point deduction for violating Premier League financial regulations.
One fan said on Twitter, “Beautiful timing.” While many others expressed similar sentiments.
Whether the post was accidental or intentional, the points deduction drops the Toffees to 19th in the Premier League rankings, two points from safety.
Gordon’s decision to push a move away from Goodison Park in January was finally validated, as he has made tremendous improvement on the pitch with Newcastle this season in the Premier League and Champions League.
Meanwhile, Everton have found themselves in a relegation battle for the third season in a row. While a 10-point deduction would have been enough to relegate the Merseyside club in each of the last two seasons, Everton might possibly pull out of trouble pretty soon if their present form continues.
