AC Milan were linked with a few right-backs during the summer transfer window, and according to a source, a new profile has emerged on their radar in Arnau Martinez.
TMW reports that Milan are considering moves in both full-back positions, beginning with Juan Miranda for the left side, whom they want to sign on a free transfer when his contract with Real Betis expires in June.
Then, for the right-back position, they want Arnau Martinez of Girona, the league’s surprise leader. At the age of 22, he is performing at a level that has piqued the curiosity of Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid.
Manchester City is also interested in the defender, as Girona is part of the City Football Group, and his valuation is around €15 million, although he is unlikely to depart in January.
His contract expires on 30 June 2025, and he is not showing any signs of being open to renewing, therefore he will be free on a free transfer in the summer.
So, if things continue as they are, Girona will most likely keep Martinez in the winter window and then sell to the best bidder in June.
