Sunderland’s Jobe Bellingham has withdrawn from England’s under-19 squad.
Jobe Bellingham has been dropped from England’s under-19 team.
During the summer transfer window, the 18-year-old went to the Stadium of Light from Birmingham City, while his brother Jude Bellingham completed a remarkable move from Dortmund to Real Madrid for a fee of €103 million.
Jobe has had a strong start to the 2023-24 season, and he is now a regular in midfield for head coach Tony Mowbray, as well as a striker and an attacking midfielder.
The former Birmingham City man has played 16 Championship games for Sunderland, scoring three goals and earned another call-up to England’s under-19 squad.
Matthew Young of Sunderland has also been called up to the squad for the games against Romania, Japan, and Mexico.
Jobe, on the other hand, has withdrew from Simon Rusk’s team for the three matches.
The Black Cats return to action after the international break on Saturday, November 25 at Home Park against 19th-placed Plymouth Argyle.
