AC Milan Finally take decision Against the Suspension of Olivier Giroud

Following his red card against Lecce, Olivier Giroud was given a two-game suspension and Milan will not appeal. The Frenchman yelled too loudly while pleading for a late free kick. He’ll miss the games against Fiorentina and Frosinone because he insulted the referee.

According to Corriere della Sera, Milan will not appeal the ruling because it is typical in comparison to past situations. Following a recent amendment of the bylaws, some media sources urged a four-match ban. That, however, was not the case.

The Rossoneri will be without Giroud for the next two domestic matches, but he will be available to play against Borussia Dortmund in the fourth Champions League meeting, which is sandwiched in between.

AC Milan's response to Man Utd interest in Olivier Giroud

This season, Milan has struggled to find replacements for the World Cup champions. Luka Jovic has fallen short of expectations, while Noah Okafor has looked more at ease on the sides. With Rafael Leao out due to injury, he’ll most likely start there.

The veteran has started all but one game so far, a 3-1 away triumph over Cagliari in which the Swiss talent relieved him and had his greatest game so far. He only came on as a substitute once, against Genoa, with the former Fiorentina striker leading the line from the outset.

Our Take on Giroud

It was a silly unforced error for somebody with his experience. There’s no alternative to hoping the backups, Samuel Chukwueze and Okafor in particular since they were signed for this very purpose, step up.
