Ian Wright believes Nottingham Forest will defeat West Ham at The London Stadium on Sunday. The Reds are coming off their first win in six games against Aston Villa.
That game was won by the Reds thanks to goals from Ola Aina and Orel Mangala, and Wright seemed impressed with Forest.
This weekend brings another Premier League challenge for Steve Cooper. This season’s away performances have improved, but more points would be greatly appreciated.
Wright backs Forest to beat West Ham
Wright spent a brief period of time on loan at Forest in 1999. Despite only appearing in a few games for the club, he scored a few goals and became a fan favorite.
He clearly enjoyed watching Forest play over the weekend, and he expects them to do well again this weekend against West Ham. The Reds will be hoping to avenge a 4-0 loss in the same fixture last season.
“I think Forest beat them, I really, really do,” Wright told The Overlap. Villa weren’t great from what I saw the other day. I’m going with Forest 2-1.
Forest must take game to the Hammers on Sunday
West Ham aren’t in great shape either. They will be hoping for a morale-boosting win against Olympiacos in the Europa League on home soil tonight.
Forest, on the other hand, have nothing to fear when they travel to East London. They’re a better team this season than they were last, and they should believe they can win most Premier League games.
West Ham are gradually turning against David Moyes. On Sunday, an early goal for Forest could make things very interesting and change the atmosphere in their favor.
