AC Milan prepare announcement for the return of striker

There are several Italian sources stating Milan will soon make Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s comeback public.
Owner Gerry Cardinale and the former Rossoneri striker have been in talks for a few weeks, and Gazzetta and Calciomercato.com claim that Ibra’s return to San Siro is only a matter of time.

Cardinale wants to keep Ibrahimovic at the team so he can maintain close communication with the players and directors even though he retired from football at the end of 2022–2023.

According to a report on page 20 of Thursday’s printed edition of Gazzetta, Milan may make an official announcement regarding Ibra’s return by the weekend prior to the Rossoneri’s away Serie A match against Lecce on Saturday.

According to Calciomercato.com, Before officially announcing Ibrahimovic’s return to the team, Milan is currently completing the last few details.

Ibrahimovic will reportedly start out as “special counsel” or “external advisor,” according to both sources.

He will, however, collaborate closely with the group, communicating with Stefano Pioli and his players and serving as a liaison between the players and the club’s executives.
