According to a report, Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres, who joined Sporting CP, has been in incredible form, has been linked to AC Milan.
The Rossoneri are well aware of Gyökeres’s smooth transition to life in Portugal following his summertime move from Coventry City, as 90min has reported.
Gyökeres’ 21 league goals in 2022–2023 almost catapulted Coventry into the Premier League, and several elite clubs began to closely examine the 25-year-old.
He has now scored 11 goals in 13 games for the Portuguese team, Sporting, who won the race. He agreed to a five-year contract, so a sizable sum would be required to complete a move.
Sporting will hope to turn a profit if he departs so soon after signing a long-term contract, considering he moved for €20 million in the summer.
Although there is no indication that Gyökeres will force the move, Milan is considering a number of strikers, including him.
