Big name transfer official ‘happy’ to be joining Newcastle United

Newcastle United’s disheartening 2-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund in Germany on Tuesday night showed that they were unable to capitalize on their victory over Arsenal.

Eddie Howe and his team will undoubtedly need to deal with the pressure and burden of playing more games going forward, since the Magpies’ Champions League campaign has been unsatisfactory.

Obviously, part of that will involve hiring, but it will also involve negotiating better terms than signing finished goods for exorbitant sums of money and enormous salaries.

The Dutch daily AD reports on Wednesday that Marcel Bout has been appointed as Newcastle United’s new “chief scout.” With a long history of working under Louis van Gaal at Manchester United, Bout is a household figure in the scouting industry.

AD notes that living close to Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport will benefit him with his global travels, even if he will have his base in the Netherlands.

According to a comment from Bout, “I have recently come into contact with Newcastle.” I like how the club has been growing steadily. In addition, I’m glad to be back in England and competing in the Champions League.

AD indicate that Bout’s Newcastle United transfer plans will get underway right now.
