Due to a couple of injuries, AC Milan are expected to sign a centre-back in January, with Lloyd Kelly appearing to be their primary target. According to reports, Geoffrey Moncada, the Rossoneri’s director, has already met with the player.
Moncada, who was promoted to technical director this summer, has long been a fan of Kelly. The contract of the Bournemouth defender expires at the end of the season, and he was not expected to be available in January.
However, due to the injuries to Pierre Kalulu and Marco Pellegrino, Milan has been forced to act. Gianluca Di Marzio provided an update on the Rossoneri’s interest in Kelly while speaking live on Sky Italia, as reported by Francesco Nasato.
“From what I understand, Moncada spoke with and met Kelly at the end of last week’s game.” “Perhaps Bournemouth will let him go with some severance pay as early as January,” he speculated.
What happens in January remains to be seen. Moncada revealed to Sky last night that a lot can change between now and then. We can also be certain that Kelly isn’t the only name on the list.
