Jonathan David has long been on AC Milan’s radar, and it has previously been reported that he is the club’s primary target for the No.9 position. However, as a report points out, the Rossoneri should reconsider their decision.
This season, Luka Jovic has been a huge disappointment for Milan, failing to score and putting in poor performances. Meanwhile, Olivier Giroud is getting older and clearly needs more rest between games.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan’s attack is certainly in crisis, but so is their primary target Jonathan David. He hasn’t scored in Ligue 1 since August 27, and he has only played 19 minutes in the last two games for Lille.
David is not the answer to Milan’s attacking problems, and something else must change tactically. It remains to be seen whether Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada will try to sign a striker in January, given that the defense is currently the priority.
