Injuries have forced Milan to look for defensive reinforcements in January, and one player they’re keeping an eye on is Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior, according to reports.
The Rossoneri were extremely active in the summer transfer window, but only added Marco Pellegrino to Stefano Pioli’s squad. The 21-year-old made his debut in the recent draw with Napoli but is now out for a month due to an ankle injury.
Pierre Kalulu, Milan’s other backup in the backline, has missed five consecutive league games due to a muscle injury. The Frenchman’s bad luck has continued, and he will now be out until early March due to a patellar tendon injury that required surgery.
Milan have been looking for suitable defenders to sign in January and have set their sights on Arsenal’s Kiwior, who has struggled for consistent minutes in North London this season, according to page two of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 23-year-old Pole joined Arsenal from Spezia in a deal worth around €25 million last January, so Milan’s interest is largely contingent on the Premier League club agreeing to a loan deal, possibly with a permanent clause attached.
