Journalist says what he believes as he makes ‘shock’ claim about Stefano Pioli at Milan

According to Journalist Alfredo Pedullà, AC Milan has a ‘ladder of problems’ that is affecting the current situation and has somewhat dimmed the club’s previously positive atmosphere.

Milan have had a difficult last week and a half, suffering their second defeat of the season in a 1-0 loss to Juventus at San Siro, which was followed by a 3-0 thrashing against Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital, in which more tactical naivety was on display.

Then, on Sunday, Milan blew a 2-0 lead against Napoli, drawing 2-2 at the Maradona, putting pressure on head coach Stefano Pioli.

This is due to incidents such as Davide Calabria’s post-PSG comments, as well as Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao’s reactions to being sent off in Naples.

Pedulla wrote an editorial in the Sportitalia columns focusing on Milan and the alleged errors committed by Pioli, and his comments were relayed by PianetaMilan.

“Stefano Pioli has made significant contributions to Milan’s recent progress, but he makes critical errors that should be reported.” “If they hadn’t taken the points away from Juve, last season would have ended without qualification for the Champions League,” he said.

“Of course, they went all the way to the semi-finals of the most important European event for the club.” However, going out in the quarter-finals would have been preferable to being slapped like that by Inter.

“The summer transfer window was tailored to the coach’s requests in general.” There’s also not much to say about the timing.
The new players arrived on time, they cost a lot of money, to allow them to work on ‘team chemistry’ with the minimum amount of time necessary to avoid being in deep trouble.

“It’s understandable that Pioli reflects on the previous week, ignoring Inter’s five league slaps.” The too naive defeat against Juventus, the trip to Paris, which he summarized with a ‘excellent level’ first half (lie), the heavy observations of Calabria (the captain).

“Giroud, who refuses the substitution and retreats to the pitch to meditate and cool off, Leao, who demands explanations, the insufficient substitutions (Pulisic out as a precaution? Everyone except Romero is in his place; the Argentine isn’t quite ready yet. You don’t always replace roles one by one; the coach must use his or her imagination to keep the team safe.)

“Well, in several episodes over the last week, the scales have clearly tipped against the coach, a ladder (of problems): on and off the field, it’s an aggravating factor.” And none of those injuries could have happened by chance.”
