Ibrahimovic name four key demands for Milan as he makes his role clear for return

Zlatan Ibrahimovic appears to be getting closer to a return, but AC Milan still has a few issues to work out. Meanwhile, the Swede has stated clearly what role he requires in order to return.

Ibrahimovic retired at the end of last season after missing a significant portion of the season due to injury. Since then, Italian newspapers haven’t stopped talking about his possible return, and this morning, it was brought up again.

Milan are ready to welcome him back, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below). During his September visit, Ibrahimovic spoke with Pioli and his former teammates, as well as CEO Giorgio Furlani and owner Gerry Cardinale.
And everyone agrees: his return would be invaluable.

Ibrahimovic has made four clear demands for his release: 1) He aspires to be a leader in the locker room as well as at Milanello. 2) The role cannot be merely a show; he wishes to have an impact. 3) He wants to maintain his other business commitments while striking a good balance. 4) He does not want to have a say in the mercato.

It remains to be seen whether an agreement can be reached. One issue that needs to be resolved is demand number three, as Milan wants him to be as focused on club duties as possible.
