Bruno Giumares and Joelinton could act as super agents to convince £22m-rated Brazilian join Newcastle United

Newcastle United are looking to Brazil once more to add flair to Eddie Howe’s attack.

The Magpies have been searching South America for the next young talent on a regular basis, but our efforts have so far been outmatched by other Premier League clubs. Andrey Santos was heavily linked with a move to Newcastle but ended up at Chelsea, while Matheus Franca was also linked with a move to Newcastle but ended up at Crystal Palace.

However, according to a report from uol in Brazil, the club has already made a move for ‘generational striker’ Marcos Leonardo from Santos.

Leonardo is already being compared to Neymar, and he has 21 goals in 42 games in 2023, so he knows where the goal is.

Leonardo has the moves and is a great finisher

He has a bag of tricks to go along with his goal-scoring abilities, and he has the potential to restore some of the magic that has been missing since Allan Saint-Maximin was sold:
Santos are thought to be asking around £22 million for the 20-year-old, which, given his goals-per-game ratio, could prove to be a steal.

Leonardo reportedly wants to play in Europe and would prefer a move to the Premier League, but there will undoubtedly be competition for his signature both in England and abroad.

Fingers crossed we can see off the competition on this one

Manchester United, West Ham United, and Roma have all been linked with Leonardo recently, but Newcastle has made the first contact.

Hopefully, this one works. Eddie Howe is desperate for a new striker to complement Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak, and after letting so many promising players slip through our fingers recently, it’s about time we won a transfer race.
Bruno Giumares and Joelinton can hopefully convince Leonardo that this is the best decision for him (and his family).
