AC Milan now plot fast deal to sign €40m striker in January

AC Milan has been struggling to score in the Champions League and has faced difficulties in the league as well. Consequently, there is speculation that they may sign a striker in January.

Currently, Milan finds themselves at the bottom of their Champions League group with three games played, two points earned, and no goals scored. To secure advancement to the knockout stages, they will need to put up three strong performances, though this will all unfold before the January transfer window. Nevertheless, reports suggest that Milan is considering bolstering their attacking options during that window.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan’s management is well aware of their attacking woes and is actively exploring potential solutions in the transfer market. Their primary target is Jonathan David from Lille, who is reportedly available for €40 million, and his contract runs until 2025.

A few months ago, Lille was demanding €60 million for David, but Milan is hoping to negotiate a lower price. It’s evident, however, that a substantial investment will be required to reinforce their attack in January.

David has already scored four goals this season, and in the previous season, he found the back of the net 26 times, showcasing his quality. Milan sees him as a potential new No.9 for their team.
