Olivier Giroud makes big Milan Champions League prediction

Olivier Giroud is looking for a nice homecoming to France with a positive result and possibly a goal tonight when AC Milan takes on Paris Saint-Germain.

The task for Milan is simple: to put the 1-0 loss to Juventus on Sunday behind them by claiming their first European victory in 2023-24, but it will be far easier said than done against a PSG team loaded with talent.

Giroud talked to Sky on the eve of the game against PSG, outlining the team’s goals for this year’s edition of the competition, and his words were relayed by MilanNews.

“We are concentrated and ready to do well, the defeat against Juve didn’t affect us, now we have to think about this match, then we will think about Napoli because we want to do well in Serie A,” he went on to say.
“The Champions League is always exciting, and I’m excited to return to France and face PSG.” We have the determination to continue on the same route we took last year, when we demonstrated that we are one of Europe’s top teams against Tottenham and Napoli, and we will have to do it again tomorrow evening.”

As part of his media obligations, the French striker spoke with SportMediaset about the game, which he hopes will end a goal drought.

“We’re prepared to give everything; we’ll have to give 110% of our strength and quality because they’re strong, but so are we.” “It’s unfortunate that the goal against Juventus was missed; I need to stay calm and work hard for the team,” he remarked.

“Will it be a goal or a victory?” I opt for triumph. I advised my teammates on Mbappè, but it’s critical that we all stay together for the full 90 minutes. We will have to perform flawlessly and turn the turnaround in the Champions League; we are here for our first triumph.”

Milan have so far drawn 0-0 against Newcastle and Dortmund in the group stages, while the Parisians beat the Bundesliga side 2-0 but lost 4-1 in England.
